The hotel room was clean and we love the details of our rooms, the TV can be adjusted to the proper position and the remote to control the curtains. The hotel was so handy to walk around Wellington Central area. Only 5 minutes to Te Papa museum and waterfront, 8 minutes walk to Cuba st and 10 minutes drive to airport. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing exhibits such as Gallipoli and the nature...
Absolutely amazing exhibits such as Gallipoli and the nature exhibit. My 7 year old Son absolutely loved it. But the only sad note was the propaganda 2 versions of the treaty Climate emergency etc.. There was twice as much info on Maori history compared to colonial or even on how far we've come as a nation taking the country from Bush and swamp and long drop Toilets to the amazing place we all share now.

This is a must see. We always enjoyed our time here.
This is a must see. We always enjoyed our time here. They have lockers for rent on the first floor if you have bags. It's always a treat to sit in the cafe and have tea and cake after walking around the exhibits. A favorite NZ museum.

Te Papa Museum is an amazing place.
Te Papa Museum is an amazing place. The history and preservation of the past are so well done. The Gallipoli museum display is unique and confronting with larger-than-life figures done in such a way that they look life-like. It does exemplify the stupidity of war!
Preservation of Maori art and culture is also clearly and respectfully displayed and is well worth seeing. This museum was the real attraction of coming to Wellington for us and it surpassed our expectations.

If you only have the day, then Te Papa is where to spend it.
If you only have the day, then Te Papa is where to spend it. The WW1 exhibit is breathtaking, and they have used the time it was closed to improve a lot of the areas. Even if you've been here many times, it is always worth a see.

Absolute must for any visit to Wellington.
Absolute must for any visit to Wellington. Full of great historical exhibits about the Maori people and culture, and about the history and lifestyles of the European settlers, even though the way they developed the country must now be regarded as questionable.
There are also frequent special exhibitions which are always unmissable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. Across the road is a lift to access Lambton Quay shopping precinct. I walked everywhere - Te Papa, Circa Theatre, Wellington Museum, Oriental Bay, Parliament House etc..There are great cafes a couple doors down from apartment building. The studio was perfect for one person/couple. It had everything I needed.
The location of the hotel is excellent - we were within walking distance of Te Papa (where our conference was held) - and it was even better that we could eat at the restaurant next door
Very comfortable hotel and perfect location for exploring Wellington. Close to Te Papa, short walk to the harbor and before we knew it, we were at the Beehive. Short stroll back via the cable car and Cuba St makes an ideal location. Being able to store our bags after check out allowed us to explore before we flew out that evening. Excellent buffet breakfast set us up for the day very nicly
This is a gorgeous hotel right across from the Te Papa Museum in downtown Wellington! The artwork in the lobby and public areas was spectacular and really fun to explore. Our room was beautiful with an exceptional bathroom and amazing shower! We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub and found them quite relaxing on a rainy day in Wellington.
The apartment was great. There was a washer and a dryer combo. It was in a great location, close to Te Papa and the Embassy Theater, like a 7 minute walk. The staff was great I just didn't interact with them much.
Ideal location (only 1 block away from the Blueridge Picton ferry and 2 blocks away from Airport Express bus). Close to the waterfront, restaurants (though expensive), Wellington museum & short walking distance to Te Papa museum and base of cable car (the cable car museum, botanical gardens, and Space Place/ planetarium are located at the top of the cable car).
We enjoyed our stay at the Apollo Lodge very much! It couldn’t have been in a better location, within walking distance to dozens of great restaurants, the Te Papa museum, and the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly, and our room was restocked and tidied up daily. It was extremely convenient having an apartment-style room, stocked with dishes, a microwave, toaster, stovetop, and utensils. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
My daughter and I really enjoyed the location of the Travelodge, very central but slightly off street so it seemed private. It was very very close to the shopping, central sights of Wellington and all restaurants, cafes in this area. Each day we walked to Te Papa etc. All facilities and hotel amenities were provided and we were happy with the service received.
This property is in Central Wellington and very handy to city cafes and restaurants. It is only a 5-8 minute walk to Te Papa and the waterfront. The apartment we had was quite small but adequate for a few days stay. The location was fantastic. It was quiet and warm. We would stay again. It was very good value for the price we paid.
It locates in downtown, just 30 meters away from the Cable Car station and Countdown Super Market. About 12 minutes walk to Te Papa. Very handy and nice hotel.
