A wonderful budget property. The location is peaceful. The owner is present daily and happy to assist with coordinating excursions, answering questions & just generally engaging with the guests. The prices for the excursions were very fair and it was great to be able to split them with other guests. Every meal was excellent. Breakfast was included & the $10US charge for the communal dinner was a fantastic bargain… the property is just steps away from where the fisherman come in each day so it couldn’t get any fresher

Amazing location, felt like we were the only tourists on this beautiful island filled with spectacular nature. It was really good to see tides in action in this remote location, away from tourist-filled main island of Zanzibar.

The resort has a year-round outdoor pool and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. one of the best staff ever. even in difficult situations they tried to make our day better. it was the second time we were here and defintely would like to come again. big thanks for Philip, Eduardo and everyone who is working in the resort. the food was magnificent every day no exceptions. it was heaven on earth. thank you

Located near the village of Makangale in North Pemba, Gecko Nature Lodge Home of Swahili Divers the BEST dove center and Famous Gecko Restaurant features a dove center. We didn't expect to receive such a great welcoming experience from the staff starting from Jennifer, the manager, and from the all team. They are such nice team and treat you as part of their family. The food is so delicious and well finished. Moreover all the dishes written in the menu have always been available. The place is located on the northwest side close to Pemba Paradise, wumawimbi beach and the forrest, sourrend by monkeys and bushbaby! You can enjoy the magic sunset thanks to a nice spot in front of the sea and enjoy the barrier reef through snorkelling and scuba diving! Lovely recommended!

Emerald Bay Resort is located in Chokocho village in the south of Pemba. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, this Arabic-styled resort faces a characteristic natural port. We’ve been to the North and South of Pemba and Emerald Bay was our favourite place. The daily boat tours and excursions in this stunning place were fantastic. Luca showed us his favourite hidden beaches and sandbanks, and how to move through the bay according to the tides. These have been the warmest, clearest, and most spectacular beaches we've ever been in. The hotel meals are amazing, including lots of fresh local fruits and italian-swahili inspired dishes at dinner. The owner Luca will take excellent care of you and the staff is also very kind and attentive.

Pemba Lodge is an eco-friendly resort offering bungalows made out of recycled boats and natural local materials. amazing stay, omar made our kitesurf trip even more special. Thank you so muchmuch for we will definitely come back

Pemba Paradise features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Makangale. There's a restaurant serving African cuisine, and free private parking is available. This hotel had great staff and wonderful food! Also, the location was perfect for snorkeling and relaxing. Nice / interesting conversations with staff and other guests. If I return to Pemba, this is where I would want to stay.
