This place was away from the center of Ubud located in a quiet place which was good for when we wanted to relax. It was just a short drive away from the center and local activities. We would hire a driver for the day and he would take us wherever we wanted to go. The staff was very accommodating and our room was always really clean whenever we got back for the night.

Do not go to this creepy perverted place.
Do not go to this creepy perverted place. I felt horrible for having contributed financially to a place or such horror. He was clearly a predator who came to Bali to take advantage of young impoverished women who may find him in the regard he longed to be held in - or at least feigned to. The art was terrible. Maybe at times it was ordinary.
But he clearly obsessed over painting portraits of adolescent Indonesian women - naked or topless - long after he'd married a beautiful Indonesian woman 20 years his junior. On the website today he still jokes about groping the buttocks of an 18 year old as though it's all in good humour. I'm glad he's dead - this kind of narcissistic misogony has no place in today's world.
