the hotel is not worth the money! the worst hotel and room for 800k in which I lived in Bali. Difficult access, no normal parking space and no access for cars and bikes. the room is damp, dirty, the towels are dirty and gray. The bathroom smells bad, there is no air conditioning. The sockets are broken - it looks like they've burned out. the staff doesn't speak English and can't help. We couldn't sleep all night, the music was playing loudly. In the morning there was a disgusting breakfast, not worth the money either. Unpleasant impressions, I don’t recommend it.

This is by far one of the nicest places I've ever stayed for the price range. The hot pool was amazing, the room and grounds were gorgeous, the staff was exceptional and helpful. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my hands swelled up while I was there along with my knee, they brought me ice. They drove me around and helped me literally walk. I felt so safe and comforted while I was there! THE BED AND SHEETS WERE AMAZING, FELT LIKE IWAS SLEEPING ON A CLOUD!

Shame on local people. Shame on them.
Shame on local people. Shame on them. Plastic bags and caps in the lake. Lots of bamboo sticks so if you want to swimm you can be literally killed.
What an amazing, beautiful nature being treated so badly by locals.

Read on to my WARNING.
Read on to my WARNING. I've been to this beautiful lake on numerous touring rides with my girls, around The Island of Bali and it is almost always very enjoyable, with great scenic views and photo opportunities. However, be warned! There is a new, seemingly organized group of scammers trying to way over-charge unsuspecting tourists for access to roads or hiking trails that are absolutely free. This new scam, if not stopped, will eventually start to turn off potential visitors. I'm not intending to scare you away. Go and enjoy this wonderful place, but steer clear of locals that appear to be hustling money out of tourists that don't know any better.

I love the vibe and style of the property. Stunning views of Mt. Batur and Lake Batur (when the clouds clear). We stayed just one night to do the Sunrise hike on Mt. Batur and it was prime location. Only 20 mins to the drop off point from hotel. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming. Overall was very practical for what we needed.
The location near the lake Batur area, cabin design is also good. There is a resto near the lake (5 mins walking distance) with nice view during sunset.
Located at the foot of Mount Batur that enables you to trek directly up to the volcano to see the amazing sunrise. The property also has a beautiful garden and a direct view of Lake Batur from the back balcony. They also have a small hot spring pool that you can access at your convenience. The staff is very friendly and reachable at anytime. The room itself minus the bathroom is fine.
The property was pretty, quiet and had a decent view of the Lake Batur. If you are looking for a quieter getaway, away from city life in a village, this home stay is good for that secluded experience. It’s not a hotel, it’s a home stay.
I also really loved the bougainvillea at the main entrance. The only reason to go back to the hotel is the majestic bougainvillea spread
We got the room with the private balcony so it was nice to sit there and take in the amazing view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur from there. There was also a water dispenser in the common area outside my room, so we could get clean drinking water any time. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If you have a Netflix account, you can watch Netflix on the TV in the room. There is a highly rated cafe just next door and a mini-mart just across the street.
The location is awesome. Looking out from the veranda, you see the hot pools, the caldera Lake Batur and the mountains in the distance. Always the same, yet it was constantly changing- the clouds, the light, the moonlight.
Me and my friend staying for one night in room number A02. The location near Toya Devasya. It has a pool with warm water with a view of Lake Batur. The price is very affordable with breakfast included. The staff is very helpful and friendly. From the 2nd floor restaurant you can see a beautiful view of the hills and Lake Batur.
Black Lava was adequate for our needs but it didn't stand out compared with similar places we have stayed at in Indonesia. The natural hot water pool was great, but the view over Lake Batur was just average. I did like the old motorcycle theme, but these are an add-on, not part of the main experience.
amazing stay in villa danu, the staffs are so friendly welcoming us with huge smiles. room is very nice and the view of lake Batur and the mountains are amazing. we enjoyed our stay so much. special thanks to Komok and villa Danu family
