Another brilliant stay here. The staff are friendly and even remembered us getting engaged here last year which was such a lovely touch. The room was comfortable, it’s in a brilliant location, the breakfast is delicious and has plenty of choices, and the bar terrace is such a nice place to relax in when the sun’s out.

We had an excellent night stay at the Old Custom House. Friendly and helpful staff from check in to check out. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Despite being above a restaurant/bar, it was very quiet. Great location near the dock. Filling breakfast with a variety of vegetarian choices. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

If you don't want to queue and pay, take a walk and follow the signs for a circular walk. You'll end up going out towards a church and on the route back you come out overlooking the castle and get z pretty good view

Escape to the chateau, it was not !!!
Escape to the chateau, it was not !!! Dick and Angel could teach these owners a few things about Castle-hosting, Customer Service and Value for Money ! - The description of this hotel speaks volumes i.e. visit a family home ?? unfortunately the owners seemed to forget to focus any effort on the comfort or needs of their very high paying customers at £290 per night for a family room we expected 75% better quality experience than we had - our room was very very shabby, with the cheapest possible en-suite bathroom caravan cubicle and a 'laughable "flat-screen" TV no bigger than a postage stamp ! with dirty/shabby furniture, poor lighting and threadbare carpets., all originals no doubt but not to the level anyone would expect for this eye-watering room rate. The views are indeed beautiful and so our advice is visit the views but stay somewhere else. Owners appeared self-focused, which if they were not running Camelot Castle as a hotel for paying guests would be their right -. We eventually moved to another hotel at our own cost which was 'superb' at a much lower rate of £199/night - the Camelot did wipe our bar bill as we had to move, but realistically this was the 'least they could do' for running this mis-represented hotel accommodation.

The studio is really cosy and super well thought. There's games, books on nature and on things to do in the area, maps. The kitchen has everything needed and the bathroom is very modern. And the location is amazing! You can access the coastal path (that goes to Tintagel castle and Bocastle among others) and the st nectans waterfalls using public footpaths that start just by the house (some are a bit rough but very pretty).
Clean, comfortable bed, very friendly staff. Amazingly good food in the pub and a superb breakfast included with your stay! Easy access to walking paths and Tintagel Castle. Parking!
It's location is very convenient for visiting Tintagel Castle. Breakfast was satisfactory and main aspect me and my family like is they prepare fresh breakfast and you need to fill form for it and provide choice. This approach reduces waste. Breakfast quantities are very good too.
It is located on the main street, so shopping was right out the front door. It is just a couple of blocks to Tintagel Castle. The rooms look they were very recently decorated with fresh paint, curtains and linens. The room we had was a pretty good size, considering it is an old (not in a bad way, but in a quaint way) building. The breakfast was really good with large portions. They even had gluten-free options!
Large parking space.
Dinner and Breakfast at the hotel were wonderful.
A few minutes walk to the entrance of Tintagel Castle.
The town was quiet in the evening but very lively during the day when all the shops are open.
The hosts are really nice and kind. The room is cozy. It'a about a 10 minute walk to the Tintagel castle, which is perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast. The view out of the window is also a plus.
great quiet location in the village overlooking the sea at the end of the road so short walk to the busy village center for dinner and food
central to coastal walks and access to tintagel castle .
great sandy beaches short drive away .
free parking at rear for guests .,
amazing helpful owners and delicious breakfast .
very accommodating and friendly ..
great value for money ..
i would stay here again
This was a safe and clean space. It is located in the center of town and writhing walking distance to Tintagel Castle. the restaurant provided a bountiful and delicious breakfast. I overheard that the food served in the restaurant were prepared by a French chef. This was some of the best food we have eaten over the entirety of our vacation (3 weeks) in the UK.
