Company information

Wightbnb is run by George and Juliet who live close to the Mulberry Apartments. They look after the apartments for Hugh & Kate and have lived at Mulberry Lawn for six years. Please ring or message Wightbnb if you have any problems. Kate is the gardener and Hugh the hoarder of collectables... Ted is our adorable golden retriever.

Property information

Mulberry Lawn is an old "Island" residence which was originally the Church rectory. It subsequently went through various iterations before becoming our private residence. It has all the character and charm of a country retreat situated in the old town of Brading. Our two bed refurbished apartment is totally self contained and located on the first floor with a seperate access at the rear of the house. The bedroom is inclusive of an en-suite bath/shower room and a living/dining area has all the required facilituies to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. For our guests who would like more space and facilities we have now opened our ground floor third room ( plus bathroom) Adamson apartment. This has a bathroom with an en-suite with shower, leading to kichen diner with dish washer, washing machine and tumble drier, cooker, fridge/freezer and lots of space and storeage. The entrance hall leads to this kitchen on one side and the large lounge on the other. accommodation on the ground floor This refurbished apartment is available for couples who would like that bit extra but it is a fleable space which could be configured so that accessibity can be made between the two apartments

Neighbourhood information

Public Transport is easily located in Brading with regular Bus and rail services, and arriving by using the passenger catamaran services or the hovercraft service from SouthSea. Bringing a car does make it easier to transfer, though it is also relatively easy to arrive using bus/train or alternatively we can make arrangements to pick you up. Brading is on the main road midway between Ryde and Sandown. A little further on from Sandown there is the popular tourist destination of Shanklin which has a lot of old world charm. The town was originally on the coast of the island and you can still walk on the old Quay walls and through the marshes which are a well-known RSPB sanctuary. Many of the town's buildings are very old including the Church, Rectory Mansion, the Old Town Hall with its prison cell, stocks and whipping post. Of interest is the Brading Roman Villa you see some really old artefacts. From Brading town, you can easily access all the island via trains and buses. Currently we don’t have any brochures on display due to possible contamination, so please do some research of where you would would like to go beforehand. We will be pleased to help in whatever way we can.
