I was honestly blown away! I was in Bangkok for a seminar for a few days, and wanted someone clean and comfortable, at a reasonable price. I booked LA49 because it was well priced and close to BTS Thong Lor (about 1km).
Check in was smooth, the receptionist super helpful. The room was amazing - large dining/living room area with everything you could ask for (comfy sofa/arm chair, big TV, dining table with nice tableware for 2, fully fitted kitchen with hob, microwave, washing machine, etc.), nicely furnished bedroom (soft mattress, another TV, plenty of storage), and a great bathroom (spa bath, rain shower, heated Japanese style toilet).
The security guard was super helpful and friendly, and will take you to the BTS on the hotel tuktuk.
I heard they also had a gym, pool, and sauna upstairs but I didn't try it out.
Overall, I was VERY impressed. I would have been impressed if it was double the price, but I was blown away by how reasonable the cost was at the time I stayed!

This our second stay here. While not on the cheap side of the equation the proximity to the Ratchada Pisek MRT is the bonus. Equal distance to BKK, DMK, Mochit 2 and downtown makes the hotel an ideal location for travellers. Several small but tasty restaurants(we eat local Thai style) nearby, 7/11 next door and another on the route to the MRT(12min walk). Great pool that our kids took advantage of. This is a good stay for families as they have a few different room options and bed types. Bangkok doesn’t have that many choices for families that check all the boxes that are affordable, after hours of looking online during the bus ride into town(a chore I am enjoying less and less) we decided to stick with what we know because of the aforementioned reasons. We will come and stay again.
