We had two rooms, one facing the pool and the other one facing the parking lot. One could see the ocean from both rooms, but the one facing the pool had much better view. Be careful about that when you make a reservation; "ocean view" is not sufficient to get the best view.
The restaurant is excellent, we had several dinners there and they were all very good. The breakfast, that was included with the room charges, was also good.

We enjoyed our stay at Mareta Beach Hotel... but wished we would have stayed next door in the Mareta Beach apartments right next to the gorgeous pool! The continental breakfast was good (even had decaf coffee!) and our room was fine (although no balcony). The location was great - right next to the main bus stop and just a few minutes walking distance from plenty of restaurants.

It was amazing, I never expected Portugal to have such diverse landscapes. You're basically in the countryside, there's horses and sheep and it is absolutely beautiful. then you find the most beautiful scenes ever seen. the mountains meet the ocean and it's clear water - no trash, pollution, or anything harmful.
