Very beautiful historic city, great restaurants all over the place. Wonderful base for hikes in the Diamantina Mountains. Book tours from local companies, without a car it is challenging to get to the trailheads; we used Diamantina Mountains as our operator and were completely satisfied !

Lençóis is a place worth getting to know.
Lençóis is a place worth getting to know. The city is safe and makes you feel like home. People are kind and will make an effort for an enjoyable stay. I was very lucky with the travel agency I picked: Nas Alturas. I highly reccomend it.

Hosts Jonatan and Monique were extremely gracious and accommodating, the room was comfortable and quiet, and their breakfasts were the best I had during my nearly 3 week stay in Brazil. The hospedaria is just a couple of minutes on foot from the center of town with its bustling restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend and stay again if my path (hopefully) takes to me to the area again.

The breakfast is really good, and partially prepared while you’re waiting: Would you like eggs today? how many? and how do you like ‘em? Our last day in Lençois, we had to leave for Salvador at 23:00. After check out, we could leave our bags ar the pousada all day long, rest a bit in the evening in the pousada’s courtyard and even take a shower before we went.

She helped me with recommendations in Lençóis, a late check in and also sent me to a great hairdresser! I had two different rooms, both were very clean with everything I needed. Diogo and Emili who work there were great to chat to and very helpful. Duda is a local guide who runs acrobatics lessons there twice a week. I felt save walking in the area and I liked sitting on the front terrace in the evening watching people go by. The host arranged a guide who helped a lot to make the most of our stay.
