The hostel was gorgeous and the owners were amazing. They are so kind and gave me fruit and a necklace as a thank you present. They also gave me a free lift to the pier which was a kind gesture as I had left organising my transfer a little late. Don’t expect this of course but they are just wonderful people.

Jaiyen is a beautiful resort and the staff are very professional and friendly. Somo ensured everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end and Yak took care of all of our transport (we opted for the semi-private option) and an epic island hopping day trip on a private long tail boat visiting the breathtaking natural beauties of Phang Nga Bay. The chef makes delicious food and was flexible to prepare packed breakfasts and lunches. The location was perfect for us, a quiet corner of the island yet still close to some local restaurants and shops. The busier town is just a scooter ride away. The cocoon was cute, spacious and authentic surrounded by tropical nature, and the infinity pool and outdoor gym overlook the sea and neighboring islands - perfect for chilling in the sunset! Definitely recommended!

- Amaleena and her husband are amazing and super friendly people. The also helped us to organize tours and to adjust bicycles you can rent there, offered nice Thai desserts and cold water every morning
- The location is close to both beach and a bunch of really good restaurants, bars and a couple of massage booths; we managed to check more than a half of the island by bicycle from there
- The bungalows are equipped with everything one could need; they are clean and relatively new; if you need the room to be cleaned every day, you have to tell it to Amaleena

This is your place to stay on the Island! The bungalow is basic but sufficient. Just 10 minutes from the best Beach. Next to the pier. Cha genuinely takes care of you like family. She also booked us tickets for the boat. Recommend!

Overall the island is really lovely. It isn't as crowded and just a really good place to calm down. The only thing we didn't like was that you couldn't really swim cause the water was crowded with jellyfish and every time we tried to go in in left with a bunch of stings.

The island is very easy to get to.
Very serene and calm and a relaxing holiday escape. The island has everything you need
We mostly stayed near our accommodation but you can rent bikes/scooters/sidecars from almost anywhere. There is a local taxi service that can take you around the place also.
Bring cash. Th island has limited ATMs and most places only accept cash.

This is a lovely little island with a full range of accommodation choices and loads of wildlife to see. The bathing is difficult only because at low tide it is muddy and rocky on most beaches. Just pick high tide to swim. Lovely people. Cycling is a very good way to get round.

Very calm, peaceful and relaxing!
Very calm, peaceful and relaxing! If you want to get away from society, noise, civilization and tourists, this is your place! Beaches are not the best but they are clean and empty. The most exciting thing to do in this Island is kayaking to Nok Island (30min) and once you arrive hike the trial to the top for the amazing view! One of the best we had in our whole trip in Thailand. Also, renting a scooter and discovering the island by motorbike, stopping in each beach. So safe and relaxed. I recommend to stop by Stella's restaurant for eating o for a smoothie, super home made food and good price and views by the beach. For sunset, either Sunset bar or Hiddenout beach. Perfect place for getting away from noise but not if you want to party and meet people.

The island overall is not very built up and seems a bit rural when driving through. However there are very nice restaurants, cafes and bars to go to. We rented a scooter and drove almost around the entire island which was a very cool experience.
We were slightly dissapointed though with the beaches which we were partly to blame for as we did not research before. The tide was far out for most of the day so we didn't get a chance to swim in the sea. The beaches are all very rocky as well so even when the tide comes in I'm not sure if we could've swum.

This is a quiet and undeveloped island - so if that is what you are after it is great. I enjoyed getting on a bike and exploring the different parts of the island: remote beaches, local villages, paddy fields, plants, trees and wildlife. There are a few hills that you need to tackle but this was part of the healthy enjoyment of the island. At high tide I walked over to the small island in Tha Khao beach and swam in the sea, lay on the beach and watched the Brahminy kites - most days I was the only person there. There are some other remote beaches on the North East coast that you can hike/bike/scooter to. The best lunch spot was Chaba Cafe which has a shabby chic vibe, really good local food and serves a good macchiato. I had a few dinners at the Sook restaurant at the Suntisook resort which again had some really tasty Thai food.
I found that you need cash everywhere on the island so you need to plan to bring enough THB. There are a lot of ATMs but they either run out of cash, are out of service and on top of that charge a lot to do FX i.e. flat fee + 5%.
We had a wonderful stay in Annie’s garden paradise. The bungalows are very spacious and sparkling clean. We loved the vast balcony, where we had the delicious breakfast that Annie left at our door handle every morning. She even offered to pick us up at the pier upon arrival, dropped us for a lamp festival and helped us organise a boat trip to the magnificent islands surrounding Ko Yao Noi.
The restaurant next door offers delicious food and it’s a five minute walk to a sunset bar (the bungalows themselves do not have a beach view).
Kho Bay View was like a paradise! The bungalows make you feel like you’re in the jungle with the most incredible views of the bay. Hornbills fly over in the morning and evening - couldn’t recommend this place more!
The owners are delightful, helpful and generous. So good we stayed another night and they are fantastic chefs - best food we’ve had in Thailand so far :)
They provided mopeds, kayaks and bikes if needed!
Family run, quiet and beautiful island, what more do you want.
Knowing Thailand very well and especially Ko Yao Noi I believe it’s one of the very few resorts that actually respects the natural environment and architectural traditions of Thai houses and villages. It feels like a tiny village around a pond like those you can find in Thailand countryside. It’s also very comfortable, you can bird watch. The location by the pier and the village is very convenient. The staff were adorable. The private pool was perfect and the room tastefully decorated.
Paradise is a beautiful, peaceful, tropical retreat. Because of its secluded and relatively inaccessible location it is a tribute to the hotel’s management and mostly locally-recruited staff to maintain the level of supply and service that they do. The facilities and activities are better suited to adults looking to “chill”. Special thanks to the delightful Ta, the in-house thoughtful and accomplished Yoga instructor for his patient and sympathetic coaching!
The staff are kind, attentive and friendly. The hotel is situated on a lovely island called Koh Yao Noi which was the least touristy place we visited whilst in Thailand. The surrounding area was stunning, and the hotel took us on a complementary boat trip which was great fun, and had even better views. We really enjoyed exploring the island, and hiring a bike to get around is a must if you want to see the off the beaten track areas.
The Simple boasted gorgeous concrete walls and wooden features that was super clean throughout the common areas and the rooms. Jackie was an amazing host, so thoughtful and made the most amazing cakes and pumpkin bread! Jackie also arranged for us to have a private boat trip to the four islands closed to Koh Yao Noi, which also included a home cooked lunch and fruit. A lovely hotel on the relaxed island of Koh Yao Noi.
The views from the villa and the private pool were absolutely stunning. We didn’t want to leave 😍. The staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant had lovely food and mopeds were available for hire for 24hrs at a very good price. The bar on the beach connected to the hotel was a superb place to watch the sunset. I would highly recommend this resort. 10 out of 10. 🙏😊🤩
The setup of this place totally reflects its name "paradise". Villas inside the jungle with lizards and tropical birds all over the place. The resort staff was super kind and accommodating (pretty much like anywhere in Thailand). Perfect place to relax for a couple of days after travelling around Thailand. It is also really friendly for families with kiddos. I'd come back again.
We loved that place!! The island is so peaceful, the people are amazingly friendly, it feels not touristicly destroyed but still comfortable enough for the western traveler.
The hotel is so well kept. They thought about everything you need. And the best part is the staff with the head of Nancy, who is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much. We felt so welcomed.
Amazing value for money. Very friendly staff and easy to rent a bike from them. Rooms are basic but very spacious. A brilliant restaurant next door and 3/4 other restaurants a 15 minute walk away. Beautiful views. 2 bottles of Water provided in rooms every day. Walking distance to our favourite beach which was in front of Ko Yao island resort.
Sam Sam is a superb resort on a great island. The suite we were in was huge with very high ceiling and very comfortable beds. The staff was super helpful, arranging complimentary pick up from the pier and transfer to our next hotel. We could use free bikes to cycle around the island and rent motorbikes too. We wish we had stayed for longer!
The location is amazing, a bit far from the main beaches but the view on the rice fields is wonderful and relaxing. The calmness of this place is very nice.
The bungalows are spacious, clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable and the sheets are clean.
Incredible value for money, will definitely reference this place to others.
everything. absolutely amazing. I was worried it would be overhyped but it lived up to it and more. service was impeccable, private beach, quiet resort, villas were full luxury, hotel restaurant was good, breakfast was amazing, we had afternoon tea in our villa that was amazing and well priced.
Beautiful oceanfront location right night to the beach. The restaurant has amazing food and great views of the ocean. Scooter rentals are provided on site, drinking water refills provided and you can book island tours, snorkelling tours and diving directly through hotel.
Very spacious and extremely clean! The bed was huge and the most comfortable mattress I’ve had in Thailand. The owners were so kind, and the location was great, with a mini-mart around the corner, and many things walkable, or of course able to ride a bicycle or scooter.
Loved the location on the quieter beach near the pier. Enough to see/do/eat in walking distance and cheap scooter rental to see the island. The restaurant is basic. Cabins are rustic but clean and have character. Garden and grounds are lovely.
The whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend Jaiyen to anyone traveling to this part of Thailand. A remote location was exactly what we needed after many months working in Thailand.
Very nice and helpful owner. comfy bed. clean. one of the best value stay in the island. location consider convenient, owner could help arrange bikes rental.
