I’ve long wanted to stay here because of the history of the building. It is a beautiful old hotel and has been renovated sympathetically to maintain its unique identity. Lots of thought has been put into the decor, and this has made it a very special place. I especially loved the monkey and parrot lamps and that 1920s and ‘30s music was played in the reception area to welcome guests. Shout out to Mae West, you naughty old gal!
The other shining asset of Memory is the staff. They were wonderful; friendly and helpful and just the epitome of hospitality. Special thank yous to Penny and Amanda on reception and the guys in the cafe (sorry, I can’t remember names but all were just lovely). The proximity to Sunday Walking Street - literally on the doorstep - was a welcome bonus.

Nice pool and outdoor area, the room is a good size; comfortable and clean with a daily topped up fridge with soft drinks and snacks, this was appreciated. The bed is large and comfortable, the Aircon also worked well. Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly. The resort was pleasant and I don’t really have any complaints about it.

The traffic lights are not for pedestrians, you just have to follow the locals and force your way across. This and the amount of parked vehicles makes it harder to walk along the streets, but the experience is rewarding despite the challenges! Bustling with life and very interesting.

Best tip is that you can get around using the buses very cheaply. 100B bus to and from airport from Old Phuket Town. Also buses from Terminal 1 in Old Phuket town which take you to many places. There is also a free bus which takes you past a lot of sites of interest in Old Town.
You can see a lot of old architecture and beautiful coloured terraces. Some amazing official building like to old clock tower. There is also street art in the form of pictures painted on walls. Don’t be stunned by those buildings that are vacated and if you look closely many still display the charm and grandeur of yesterday year. All they need is someone with lots of money to renovate them to bring them back to their past glory.
Finally there are some great Michelin recommended restaurants. Amazing food without the hefty price tag. I cannot forget the French pastry shop which has amazing cakes, pastries to die for and great coffee, also at a moderate price. Across the road is a wood fired pizza place which is very popular.
So if you are into any of the above you won’t be disappointed.

I stayed here for three days out of 7 days in total which I think was too short for this great city. There are various beaches, activities, restaurant's and more that you can enjoy in Phuket. People here are very friendly, kind and polite to the visitors unlike what I experienced in BKK. All in all, I will visit this place again and again.

Phuket is a beautiful place full of kind people and great streets. Would not recommend visiting Patong but if you do only go for the day and see bangla road at night. It is the red light district and there’s a lot to do. But prepare for many many people trying to sell you stuff and many many prostitutes grabbing you. If that’s your thing then fair enough but not suitable for kids. The beach in Patong is also very nice. I would strongly recommend old town Phuket but only for a few days as there isn’t a huge amount to do. Old town is a beautiful place and very relaxed compared to Patong.

Phuket town is far from the airport and the beach.
Phuket town is far from the airport and the beach. But public transport is available. Maybe it's better if you have an app for public transport. When i went to Central, the reception booked for me. But in going back to the hotel, it was a bit of a challenge because i had no app. I had to negotiate with the driver of a motorcycle. It is a little city or town where there are a lot of small restaurants

Absolutely incredible, by far our favourite part of Phuket overall. The Sunday walking market was fantastic with so many authentic Thai dishes and lovely handmade items. The vibe was truly special and super memorable. If you’re visiting, you absolutely must visit The Library bar - the drinks were fantastic, reasonably priced and the bartenders do really impressive tricks by spinning and throwing the bottles as they make your drinks. Also visit the elephant jungle sanctuary - Nancy the tour guide is super knowledgeable and funny, and she really elevated the experience to the next level.
If you’re flying out of Phuket airport, make sure to visit the Soi Dog Foundation (it’s just a short trip from the airport). It’s completely free to do a tour and you get to play with the most adorable puppies, but don’t forget to donate to their cause.

Hotel Tide is beautiful hotel on the south coast of Thailand. It is a beautiful beach front hotel that has a beautiful pool that faces the ocean. There is ice cream at the hotel and a great menu with a lot of variety for food. They had a movie night the day and had more events running throughout the week. The staff were really helpful and there were sufficient amenities.
I’m shocked how good of a hostel this was. AC on whenever, common room had ac. A few free snacks and coffee/tea. There’s an elevator! I’ve stayed in a few hotels here in Thailand and they didn’t have elevator. The restaurant downstairs is great. Clean female dorm and bunkbeds. Enough space. Clean bathrooms, you get a towel. Also very nice staff.
What a fantastic place! If you stay in Phuket town, do yourself a favor and sleep there! It felt like we were traveling back in time: the whole place is like a museum with beautiful gems here and there. Definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed at while traveling for 3 weeks in Thailand 😍
The rooms themselves were lovely and nicely decorated.
Swimming pool was nice and large but days varied from no-one to everyone!
Pad Thai was one of the best I came across when travelling through Thailand
All the staff were lovely and so helpful
Spacious villa, own pool-very pleasant , generally pools, area around beach and pools, very green, quiet. All looks super nice. Personnel is nice. Some excursions arranged right from the hotel
