Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so that restricted what we could do. The Classic Car Museum is a must visit, absolutely amazing.

My daughters and I loved Nelson. A wonderful place. Beach in town, zoo also close to town. Great shops and restaurants. Friendly locals. Markets on Saturday were quite unique. Great diversity and yummy food as well. Loved the big church in town, the Japanese and Chinese gardens. Yes, would certainly come back! Thanks Nelson.

The bus drivers were lovely and would make sure they checked if you wanted their bus if they passed your stop regardless of signals or indication. The bus services are labelled in a super understandable way, such as 1N (north), 1S (south), 4E (east), 4W (west).
The city itself is full of incredible artwork and galleries, as well as plenty of opshops. Richmond especially has an amazing variety.
Shout out to all of the low FODMAP-Friendly cafes, such as Lily's where I had the best chicken cranberry pie I've tasted, along with a berry caramel slice that I will be thinking about for months. Also to Kimchi and Wasbi, who have huge portions and friendly, amusing signage (see: seagulls). We visited both their Richmond and Nelson CBD locations and loved both (please set up in Chch we beg you).

Such a beautiful place, comfortably located between the ocean and the mountains, feels like you are at a fancy resort! We visited in August, but the weather was amazing, they say it is the sunniest place in NZ. I would strongly recommend a free (!) tour to Pic's Peanut Butter World - you get to see and learn how the most delicious peanut butter is made, a story of its birth and growing, as well as free peanut butter tasting, freshly made right in front of you! And don't forget to stop and have a look at their shop downstairs and stock up on smooth or crunchy or smoochy (that is smooth + crunchy) deliciousness 😋😋 The best coffee in town is at a place called Someday Somewhere, best coffee and best egg and bacon muffins! There are a few wineries in the area, and lots of interesting shops. I'd recommend to stop by at the Broadgreen Historic House, surrounded by a marvellous rose garden. You can walk through the rooms and read or listen to some interesting facts and stories about the purpose of the rooms, the way of life back in the 19th century. The house is well maintained and offers a great variety of furniture and decoration pieces from that time as well as fashionable clothes items and gruesome details about the fashion trends back then.
Such a chilled vibe throughout the city! And the locals are so friendly!

Beautiful city being the gateway for the most stunning scenery and beaches. A must to visit, especially Kaiteriteri and the Abel Tasman. Easy to get around and great cafes and eateries throughout the city and Tasman areas, especially Mapua, which is a real gem.

breakfast fine, the rooms were quiet, airy, very well appointed, separate access, lovely and light with lovely views. The insulation was great so we didnt hear family noise. Sam and Pete were thoughtful and easy to be around. Not intrusive but very helpful and generous with their time and good advice. Trails End was well positioned for both Nelson and Tasman Bay.
Everything in the rooms is really considered. Excellent layout. Very clean. Staff were incredibly friendly. I had coffee and breakfast in the morning both of which were really good too, surprisingly so because sometimes that can be a bit of a let down in a hotel. Nelson has some excellent coffee spots and this was just as good as anywhere.
I loved this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, in a great location, the staff were welcoming. I really do recommend if you’re looking for a good value stop for a few days in Nelson. There are plenty of eateries, and the beach, nearby, and the bus stop into Nelson is literally outside (and costs just $3 each!).
Clean tidy rooms plus the best thing was the restaurant and the great friendly staff in it. Restaurant staff treated guests like friends with professional service.
Rooms were refreshed everyday to a high standard too. Hotel us very handy to Nelson city plus to towns just if Nelson, like Richmond and Stoke.
Excellent location for Nelson shops, cafes. Also excellent for walks by the river and upwards to centre of New Zealand monument/view. Quite location. Very helpful reception desk.
