The Jack and Jill Coaching Inn offers an excellent location to explore some lovely coast. We managed to visit Whitby, Staithes and Runswick Bay, as hoped!
The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained, The family room was perfect for both us and our 7 year old. It exceeded our expectations. It was like new. The room and hotel has lots of character whilst being also being modern and stylish. There is a good communal space to relax in- for a drink and cake or evening meal. We did both!
If you are crazy golf fans like us, I would highly recommend trying out the one at the Jack and Jill Coaching Inn: it has18 holes, very well- maintained and some clever designs. This was a great bonus.

Saltburn is a lovely seaside town with a great beach and different activities. The town is well kept and attractive to tourists. The tram that brings you up and down the hill is great! We enjoyed dinning out in Saltburn and walking along the beach. The weather we had was great as well. We would like to come back to Saltburn in the summer sometime. If we had more time we would have dinned at the fish & chip shop on the beach.

Saltburn is a hidden gem.
Saltburn is a hidden gem. Forget Whitby go straight to Saltburn and get everything you need for a coastal holiday without even moving the car. There are many trendy bars and eateries, a supermarket, train station and many other little shops. The beach is gorgeous and the water not so deep so you can safely walk out into the sea. It has a pier, amusement arcade, paddle board hire, fish and chips etc etc. Walk the Cleveland Way. We love it. Definitely going back again.

The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed and it is spacious enough for two people. Loftus had all we needed right out of the front door - Co-op , pubs, takeaway etc and it is on a direct bus route to Whitby and Saltburn-By-The-Sea We had an excellent stay. Thank you.
There is a good walk around the Scaling Dam, which is opposite the hotel.
The crazy golf course at the hotel is great fun.
