From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome. The lovely converted building with thick stone walls, slate and wooden floors gave a great atmosphere. Food was plentiful, well presented and very tasty. Staff were happy to help - nothing was too much trouble.

The downstairs was amazing. Very art focused and staff very attentive. Dogs welcome. Ted and his tour were very informative and he is one fantastic artist with his artwork being shown all over the castle.
This 18th-century former corn mill provides first-class food and board, like a true traditional inn. The Mill House is on Cornwall’s north coast, between Port Isaac and Boscastle.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming place, and it was an unforgettable experience! Nestled in a serene location, the cottage offered a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. The cozy interiors were beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home.
The surrounding nature was breathtaking, with picturesque views that made for lovely morning coffee moments on the porch. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided thoughtful touches, from local tips to snacks upon arrival.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or an adventurous retreat, this cottage is the ideal spot. I can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

Boscastle is a lovely place to stay for short visits.
Boscastle is a lovely place to stay for short visits. It has good accommodation in the small centre and a beautiful estuary for walking with some places of interest along the way. I have family who live in the area and thoroughly enjoy my stay with them as there are local beaches and plenty more to visit if you want to venture out further. It is close to Port Issacs where Doc Martin the series was filmed and Bude is a lovely place to venture out to. Just a few of many places that are in reasonable distance from Boscastle itself🙂

Beautiful scenery, totally surrounded by lush green hillsides. Stunning river flowing through the quaint village -parts of which have cobblestone streets. Saw the most amazing sunsets and rises down towards the harbour. Often felt like I was on a TV drama set. Really enjoyed experiencing this gem.

I went to visit Tintagel but Boscastle was very close to it in fact there was more to do in Boscastle than Tintagel with a variety of unique shops, including a leather shop which I felt in love with. Plenty of lovely walks too. Other places of interest such as Port Isaac was very nearby

Boscastle is stunning but obviously not for people who want beaches.
Eveley house is also right at the top of the hill at Paradise so it’s not for the faint hearted or anyone with health problems!

We loved Boscastle as a base to explore the north coast of Cornwall. Coastal walks are stunning and we visited Padstow, Tintagel, Port Isaac and the Eden project (about 45 mins-1 hour drive). I believe that Bude and Newquay are a similar drive away but didn't get to visit them on this trip.
If you want a very special meal and like sea food we would definitely recommend the "Rocket Store". This place was featured in one of Rick Stein's Cornwall programmes and although not cheap it fully lived up to expectations and we enjoyed a fabulous last night meal. Several other pub and restaurant options which we didn't try apart from the Napolean Inn close to our cottage and this was also very good and served an excellent Sunday lunch.

The location was perfect for us, although we didn't walk down to Boscastle because of the weather, in the summer this would certainly have been possible (although would be a steep walk up!). We drove out to Port Isaac, Rock, Eden Project and Tintagel as well as St Nectan's waterfall. The cottage was clean, comfortable and great for kids and dog. Very relaxing. We liked the scones and clotted cream on arrival and a chew for the dog, a lovely touch!
A lovley B&B with beautiful rooms and a marvelous breakfast, all made with a lot of heart!
The costal path from Boscastle to Tintagel is spectacular and a must!
