Excellent place to stay. nice breakfast (they’ve started including breakfast in their stay for free). Dorms and private rooms have great AC (although don’t expect an eskimo room when it’s the middle of summer, the ACs across Zanzibar take a beating then). This is a chilled hostel with a stunning pool area where you can relax and read a book. It is NOT a party hostel, which is exactly what I was looking for. Mohammed (the host/owner) is a really nice guy and goes out of his way to make his guests feel welcome and helps with booking activities and rides to anywhere on the island. About 95% of the guests, including myself, extended their stay.

New Teddys met my expectations 100%! It's a nice place with local vibes, perfect for a family stay. The food is tasty, the staff is great and friendly. The pool is not crowded, and sunbeds are always available. The airport transfer was smooth. Reasonable price for everything we get.

I lived in this hostel for some longer time. I chose it because it was close to my kitesurfing school and yoga school. The place is great, it is not noisy at night like other places but there is good music in the evening at the bar and you have beer and great drinks for half the price and there are other bars and clubs around the corner so the location is perfect and the vibe is great. There is also a super breakfast but also a whole menu if you need it. It's easy to meet a lot of people but you also have space to chill out on your own. The staff are great, helpful, nice, the place is clean (also the shared bathrooms) and also safe. And a minute to a beach. You can spend here a lot of time and have fun and chill. I recommend very much.

Amazing backpacker vibe, if you're a backpacker this is the place to stay. Super friendly staff, the owner is around, superfood food. Beautiful prime location. Basic and clean facilities.

Mambo Leo is best ,very nice staff,tatu is jovial and welcoming ,she is always busy making the place clean,shes always smiling,and helping the visitors any time when in need .The secret behind her is that she's a good cook 🥰very delicious meals .

The staff Sara was very kind and enjoyable. It's a shame that 2 doesn't have Wi-Fi, but 1 was very comfortable and easy to spend time in.

I can honestly say, i fell in love with this place as soon as I saw it. The beautiful terrace outside was just calling me to enjoy my morning coffee there. And luckily I was able to, because they have a very well equipped kitchen (filter coffee machine included). Nina and Benja, owners that welcomed us to their Villa, were super nice. Shared so many amazing tips about the island and helped us to organize some trips around the place. Our room was really nice and super clean. I love the local vibe of the place. With hot water in our own bathroom and fast WiFi.
